Overview

This project was developed during my Graphic Design and Marketing Internship with NEPA Youth Shelter, a nonprofit organization supporting youth through housing, mental wellness, and community programs. The goal was to strengthen the organization’s visual communication and create materials that felt clear, approachable, and mission-driven.

Role + Tools

Role: Graphic Design and Marketing Intern
Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, WordPress, Squarespace, photography, and digital layout design

Design Direction

The design direction focused on creating a warm, supportive, and youth-centered visual style. I wanted the materials to feel safe and approachable while still looking professional and organized. Soft graphic elements, clean layouts, and simplified information helped make the brand feel more consistent and easier to understand.

Process

Throughout the internship, I worked on website updates, newsletters, brochure designs, photography, icons, and marketing materials. A major focus was taking dense information and turning it into clear visual communication for donors, youth, and community members.
